As an artist Robin Rhode crosses a plethora of boundaries including animation, graffiti, photography, performance and sculpture to name a few. To get a flavour of where his works and influences come from, imagine street artist Blu meets Marcel Duchamp meets Method Man from The Wu-Tang Clan. One of his most popular performances is Car Theft (2003) in which the artist appears as a hooded ASBO seeker who draws a car on a wall and then tries unsuccessfully to break into it before eventually throwing a brick at it in frustration. His playful approach and sense of humour are just a few characteristics that make him one of the most engaging and exciting artists around. We'll be chin wagging with Elli Loizou behind the scenes about his latest exhibition at White Cube in Hoxton Square. Mind-blowing stuff folks.
