Art House

Ever get bored of looking at art in anonymous white cube spaces? Well you’ll dig this place. Danielle Arnaud’s always been a trend-bucker and her amazing gallery which doubles as her house is a perfect reflection of this renegade spirit. Viewing artworks in a ‘real’ domestic environment allows a potential collector to visualise how these objects might look in his or her home (who the hell lives in a clinically white washed box anyway?) is an immediate breath of fresh air and makes perfect sense.

For the record Danielle hates the word ‘domestic’ (we had our wrists firmly slapped on the last occasion we met for uttering this blasphemous word, use it at your own risk) although we couldn’t come up with a particularly satisfactory alternative. So to avoid all potential confusion we’re going to call it ‘art in a house’ instead. There. We’ll be joining Danielle and the acclaimed artist Marius Pfannenstiel as he puts the finishing touches to his new solo show on the eve of the grand opening. A rare opportunity to catch an artist in the thick of the creative curatorial process and to chat about the fascinating body of work on display. Not one to miss.

This event is for Members Only (20 places)
