Bonhams

David Hockney is like, really famous. Not just for producing some of the 20th century’s most iconic works of art, but more recently for championing the iPad and telling Gordon Brown to shove his smoking ban where the sun don’t shine. A thoroughbred Yorkshireman, Hockney made his mark at the Royal College of Art in the 1950s where he hung out with the other greats of his generation, R.B. Kitaj, Patrick Caulfield, Francis Bacon, Richard Hamilton and Peter Blake. Bonhams are hosting an auction dedicated entirely to the work of the great man and we’re going behind the scenes for a close look through the eyes of Hockney expert Robert Kennon. Love Art Londoners will be treated to a private tour of this sale to discover just what makes David Hockey one of Britain’s best loved artists. Stonking.

This event is for Members Only (20 places)
