There’s far more to The Bank of England than stressed economists and gold bullion you know. Behind those thick stone walls there’s a cracking art collection too. Among the great paintings documenting the movers and shakers throughout Britain’s financial history, there are works by the Thomas Stothard, George Elgar Hicks and Augustus John. And the best part is they’re not located in one place - they’re dotted throughout the private offices, or ‘parlours’ as they’re known, which the public never see. With Mervyn’s permission we’re busting you past security into the bank’s highly private parts for a rare and fascinating poke around. Absolutely unmissable.

This event is for Members Only (25 Places)
