Building

There’s far more to The Bank of England than stressed economists and gold bullion. Behind those thick stone walls there’s a cracking art collection too. Among the great paintings documenting the movers and shakers throughout Britain’s financial history, there are works by the likes of Thomas Stothard, George Elgar Hicks and Augustus John. With Mervyn’s permission we’re busting you into the vaults for a sneaky peek.
