When a fruit loop walks into the National Gallery and fires a shot gun at a Leonardo da Vinci, heroes like Deborah Bates come to the rescue. Her workshop is a cross between an artist’s studio and a mad scientist’s laboratory, bursting with vials of mysterious potions and obscure machinery which could easily double as instruments of torture.
Deborah studied at Camberwell School of Art and has been restoring pictures since 1980. Her painstakingly detailed work requires the patience of a saint and the hands of a surgeon - she invites Love Art Londoners to come and see what she does best.
