Quaritch

Are you sitting comfortably? Then we’ll begin. Quaritch, purveyors of the finest and rarest antique books since 1847, are opening their library doors for an exclusive behind the scenes peek. For a hardcore bookworm or bibliomaniac, to use their official title, this gig is enough to cause extreme hyperventilation and high blood pressure. Antique book expert Donovan Rees will be telling us how art and books are best of friends and he’ll be digging out rare masterpieces for us to leaf through. From antique publications about art to glorious illuminated manuscripts which are artworks in their own right, you’ll learn to see books in a totally different light. Fingers crossed they have a first edition of Harry Potter in the vaults.

This event is for Members Only (25 places)
