Peter Layton

It’s amazing what you can make from a pile of sand. Peter Layton has been in the alchemy business for many years and is considered among the finest glassblowers in Europe. There aren’t many folk who know their way around such machinery as the ‘glory hole’ (no giggling please) as well as Peter and his team of artist craftsmen. And it’s dangerous work too. Peter’s glory hole is kept ticking over at a cool 1200 degrees centigrade.

Love Art Londoners are being treated to nothing less than a master class in the art of glassblowing and also get to an exclusive peek at some of the finest works in Peter’s studio. And yes, those who fancy getting close to the action will get to have a go too. Just be careful not to get your blowing iron stuck in the annealing oven. Don't try this at home kids.

This event is for Members Only (25 places)
